How to cancel Tinder (Plus, Gold, Platinum)
Cancel where you subscribed. Deleting the app does not cancel it.
First: cancel wherever you are billed. If Apple, Google, Roku, Amazon or a phone/TV provider bills you, cancelling on the company's own site will not stop the charges.
Steps
- Website: go to tinder.com and log in, tap your profile icon, select Manage Payment Account, find your subscription and tap Cancel Subscription.
- iPhone (Apple billing): open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, find Tinder and tap Cancel Subscription.
- Android (Google Play billing): open Google Play, tap your profile icon, go to Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, select Tinder and tap Cancel subscription.
- Android paid by card or PayPal: open Tinder, go to your profile, select Manage Payment Account, find the subscription and tap Cancel Subscription.
Good to know
- Tinder says subscriptions renew automatically until they are cancelled, and uninstalling or deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
- Subscriptions do not transfer between platforms. If you switch from iPhone to Android, cancel on the old device first.
- Deleting your account is a separate process from cancelling a subscription.
Refunds and fees
For purchases through a third party such as Apple or Google, Tinder says to contact that merchant for refund requests. Tinder's own page does not state a refund policy. It has a separate Refund Requests article.
