How to cancel Netflix
Cancel from the Manage your membership page. Deleting the app does not cancel.
First: cancel wherever you are billed. If Apple, Google, Roku, Amazon or a phone/TV provider bills you, cancelling on the company's own site will not stop the charges.
Steps
- Sign in at netflix.com and open the Manage your membership page.
- Select Cancel.
- Select Finish Cancellation to confirm.
Good to know
- Signing out or deleting the Netflix app does not cancel your account. The steps above are the only way to end billing.
- Netflix offers a one-month pause as an alternative. You keep watching until your next billing date, and you can extend or unpause from your Account page.
- Billed through Apple, Google Play, or a partner such as a phone or TV provider? Cancel with them instead. See our Apple and Google Play guides.
- Switching to a package that includes Netflix? You do not need to cancel your existing Netflix account first.

Check Netflix's current refund policy on its help page before relying on a refund for unused time.
