How to cancel PlayStation Plus
Cancel in your PlayStation account or on your console. You keep access until the paid period ends.
First: cancel wherever you are billed. If Apple, Google, Roku, Amazon or a phone/TV provider bills you, cancelling on the company's own site will not stop the charges.
Steps
- Pick one method: a web browser, a PS5 or a PS4.
- Web browser: sign in to PlayStation Account Management, select Subscription from the left menu, then select Cancel Subscription next to PlayStation Plus.
- PS5: go to Settings, Users and Accounts, Account, Payment and Subscriptions, Subscriptions, PlayStation Plus, then select Cancel Subscription.
- PS4: go to PlayStation Plus, Manage Membership, Subscription, then select Cancel Subscription.
Good to know
- If you cancel, you keep all your PlayStation Plus benefits until the end of any subscription payment period you already paid for.
- After that you lose the monthly games, online storage and online multiplayer. Redeemed PlayStation Plus packs and avatars, and PlayStation Plus discounted purchases, are yours to keep.
- Changed your mind? Select Reactivate Subscription before your next payment date to keep it active.
- Sony's page does not give steps for cancelling on a mobile device.
