How to cancel Google One
Cancel in Settings on one.google.com. If you use more than 15 GB, Gmail and Drive restrictions follow.
First: cancel wherever you are billed. If Apple, Google, Roku, Amazon or a phone/TV provider bills you, cancelling on the company's own site will not stop the charges.
Steps
- On a computer, go to one.google.com.
- Click Settings, then Cancel membership.
- Click Cancel membership again to confirm. You should get a confirmation that the subscription is cancelled.
- Bought on an iPhone or iPad through the App Store? Open the App Store app, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, choose Google One and tap Cancel Subscription. Google also lists myaccount.google.com/deleteservices as another route.
Good to know
- Future Google One payments stop. Member benefits, Google expert access and bundled premium subscriptions (such as YouTube Premium) end. Each person keeps up to 15 GB of storage at no charge.
- Your benefits remain until the end of the billing cycle. Sponsored Metro by T-Mobile memberships (U.S. only) end immediately.
- If you are using more than the default storage, Gmail cannot send or receive messages, Drive cannot sync or upload new files and Google Photos cannot back up. Until you reduce your storage use, no one can edit or copy your files.
- Bought on an iPhone or iPad and later switched to Android? Google says you cannot change the membership in the app and need the App Store on another device.
Refunds and fees
Google says that in most countries or regions, storage plan purchases are non-refundable and you keep the storage for the rest of the subscription. For Google Play purchases see Google Play's refund policies. For App Store purchases, ask Apple.
