How to cancel YouTube TV
Cancel or pause under Settings, then Membership. Recordings expire 21 days after you cancel.
First: cancel wherever you are billed. If Apple, Google, Roku, Amazon or a phone/TV provider bills you, cancelling on the company's own site will not stop the charges.
Steps
- Go to YouTube TV in a web browser and select your profile photo.
- Go to Settings, then Membership.
- Click Manage, then Cancel membership, then Cancel.
- Just need a break? Under Manage, use the slider to pick a pause length (4 weeks to 6 months) and click Pause.
Good to know
- You keep access until the end of your payment or free trial period.
- After you cancel, add-on networks become unavailable and recorded programs expire after 21 days. Your library preferences are saved if you re-subscribe later, and you may lose eligibility for promotional pricing.
- A pause starts after your current billing cycle ends. You cannot watch or record while paused, and the normal monthly charge resumes when the pause ends. You can resume early.
- YouTube's page shows computer steps. It does not list phone or tablet steps on that view.
Refunds and fees
The cancellation page does not state refund rules. YouTube TV has a separate page for requesting a refund.
