How to cancel YouTube Premium
Cancel under Paid memberships. Benefits last until the end of the billing period.
First: cancel wherever you are billed. If Apple, Google, Roku, Amazon or a phone/TV provider bills you, cancelling on the company's own site will not stop the charges.
Steps
- Open YouTube and tap your profile picture, then Paid memberships. On a computer, go to youtube.com/paid_memberships.
- Choose the membership you want to cancel.
- Tap Continue to cancel.
- Pick a reason and tap Next.
- Confirm with Yes, cancel.
Good to know
- Your Premium benefits continue until the end of the billing period, with no further charges unless you re-subscribe.
- You can pause a membership instead of cancelling it. YouTube has a separate help page for pausing and resuming.
- Joined through the iOS app? Cancel through your Apple account. Billed through Google Play? Use your Google Play account settings.
- Confirm it worked by checking the status on youtube.com/paid_memberships.
