How to cancel Zoom
An owner, admin or billing user cancels under Plans and billing. Download cloud recordings first.
First: cancel wherever you are billed. If Apple, Google, Roku, Amazon or a phone/TV provider bills you, cancelling on the company's own site will not stop the charges.
Steps
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an account owner, admin or a user with billing privileges.
- Click your profile picture or initials in the top-right corner, then click Plans and billing.
- Find the plan and click Cancel Plan.
- Confirm. You will get a confirmation email, and the plan shows a pending cancellation until the term ends.
- If you have add-ons, cancel them first using the same steps, one subscription at a time.
Good to know
- Cancel Plan missing or greyed out? Zoom says self-service cancellation is not supported for that account. Contact your Account Executive or use the Zoom Virtual Agent for Chat and type cancel.
- The cancellation takes effect at your next renewal date. Services stay active until the current billing term ends, and future renewals are not charged unless you reactivate.
- Cloud recordings stay available for 30 days after the paid subscription ends, then are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. Download any you want to keep.
- You can reactivate before the term ends under Plans and billing with Reactivate Plan, then Proceed & Reactivate.
- Plans bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play must be cancelled with Apple or Google. A free Basic account has no subscription to cancel, so delete the account instead.
Refunds and fees
Zoom says cancelling does not automatically generate a refund and refers to its Terms of Service for refund details.
